MESA Statement on Legal Retainer

Green Charter Township, MI – The Mecosta Environmental and Security Alliance (MESA) has been leading the fight to stop the CCP-linked Gotion battery factory in Mecosta County. As part of that fight, MESA has been organizing grassroots efforts and raising awareness of this threat to our community. More than that, MESA has been the sole group leading the legal fight, retaining the law firm of Eckland & Blando LLP to fight against the Gotion battery factory on all fronts. Eckland & Blando attorneys Mark Blando and Robby Dube successfully challenged the “Fufeng” project in North Dakota and are representing the citizens fighting against the CATL plant in Marshall. MESA is working closely with Eckland & Blando as MESA prepares further legal challenges against the
Gotion project. There will be more announcements about these efforts forthcoming.
